St. George's College, Aruvithura, recognizes the importance of rainwater harvesting and has implemented several initiatives to capture and store rainwater. We have installed rainwater harvesting systems throughout the college campus, including rooftops and paved areas. The collected rainwater is stored in underground tanks and is used for irrigation purposes in our botanical garden and poly house. We also promote awareness of rainwater harvesting among our students and staff through educational programs and awareness campaigns. We encourage everyone to conserve water by capturing and utilizing rainwater in their daily lives. To ensure the efficiency of our rainwater harvesting systems, we regularly maintain and clean them. We also periodically test the quality of the harvested rainwater to ensure that it is safe for use in our irrigation systems.
