Govt Supported Programmes

St. George's College, Aruvithura is supported by various government-sponsored programs that aim to provide holistic development and support to its students.

Under the Rashtriya Uchchattar Shiksha Abhiyan, the college has been able to provide advanced infrastructure and facilities for promoting R&D activities in new and emerging areas. This program has helped attract fresh talents to our campus and encouraged our faculty and students to engage in cutting-edge research.

The Fund for Improvement of S&T Infrastructure (FIST) scheme of the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India has also been implemented in our college. This scheme aims to provide basic infrastructure and enabling facilities for promoting R&D activities in new and emerging areas.

The Scholar Support Programme, which is part of the ‘New Initiatives in Higher Education’ initiated by the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Kerala, has been a great help to our students. It provides additional support to students in areas of curricular weakness and aims to improve their academic performance.

The Walk-with-a-Scholar (WWS) scheme has been designed to arrange specialized mentoring programs for students in Under Graduate Programs in Arts, Science, and Commerce streams. It has helped our students to develop a better understanding of their fields of study and has given them valuable guidance in their academic pursuits.

We are also proud to be associated with the Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP) Kerala. Programmes sponsored by ASPA focuses on training students to improve their employability. They provide demand-based industry-led and industry-curated higher-order skill courses online/offline.
