Kum. Neethu Dharmendran and Kum. Niyamol Joseph secured first prize in the Surakshit Khadya Abhiyan (SKA) Asia Quiz Competition on Food Safety 2018 organized by FOOD SAFETY AND STANDARDS AUTHORITY  OF INDIA  and recognized as  FOOD SAFETY PREFECT and FOOD SAFETY LEADER.
• Kum. Annette Mary Edwin and Kum. Aleena Babu awarded Second Prize in the INTERCOLLEGIATE QUIZ Competition conducted by ST. TERESAS COLLEGE COCHIN on World Food Day October 16 - 2018
• In the current year Kum. Anette Mary Edwin of IInd DC Food Science scored full A+ grade  for all subjects in the III rd semester University Examination.
• In the current year six students of II nd DC Food Science overall A+ grade  in the III rd semester University Examination.
• The pass percentage of B.Sc students in the year 2018 for the University examination is 97 %.
• The pass percentage of M.Sc students in the year 2018 for the University examination is 80 %.
• The pass percentage of students in the year 2018 for the V th semester University examination was 95 %.
• The pass percentage of students in the year 2018 for the III rd semester University examination was 90 %.
• HACCP Level 3 Training was conducted on 21-11-2016 to 23-11-16
• Five Industrial visits were conducted in the year 2017-2018 to various industries.
• Training given to PG students on different Dairy Products at DAIRY TRAINING CENTRE, Kottayam
• Students of the department won prizes on different competitions held at college at different occasions.
