The Department Association focuses on the holistic development of the students by encouraging them to come up with different intiatives and organising various programs for the artistic and intellectual nourishment of the students. An Association inauguration is conducted every year with the newly elected student executive members which consists of a President, Vice-president, Treasurer and a representative from each class under the department. The Department publishes Pegasus papers, the newsletter every year from 2019 onwards. We Launched an Instagram page for the Department “Sgc English” in September 2020 to promote various departmental activities, commemorate significant days and celebrate the achievements of teachers and students. The page creates different posts with a short caption that helps people reflect upon the matter.

Different events were conducted on behalf of the association to promote the artistic skills of the students in the recent years. .During the academic year , 2020- 21 , various events were conducted by the students on virtual platforms. The Association celebrated Fresher's Day, International Day of Girls Child, World Student's Day, Keralapiravi, Children's Day, Onam, Christmas, International Women's Day , Environmental Day and so on through virtual platforms. The conduction and participation of these programs urged the students to be actively involved and  to enhance their creative thinking during the pandemic.
