A basic understanding of photography is imparted to the students. The course also aims at imparting the use of photography for the purposes to learn the capturing process and how the importance of photography in our World.

MODULE I

History of photography, Analogue photography, Importance of photography, World’s famous photographers.
MODULE II

Definition, nature, scope and functions of Photography; qualifications and responsibilities of photographer.
MODULE III

Understanding the camera - types of camera, lens, films and filters. Sensor and mirror .

Module IV

Focusing,  Exposure,  depth of  field, Panning and    tilting , composition, Natural and artificial lighting,
MODULE V

Types of photography –Fashion, portrait, candid shot, news photo, photo feature, landscape, nature and wildlife, and sports
MODULE VI

Digital camera - digital technology, and Photo editing softwares.
