The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) functioning with the grant support of the Kerala startup mission was established in St George's College Aruvithura on 16th September 2020. It serves as a launch pad for the entrepreneurial journey of students and provides them with access to cutting-edge technology, world-class infrastructure, high-quality mentorship, early risk capital and global exposure. IEDC of the college offer avenues for students to learn, collaborate and transform their innovative ideas into prototypes of viable products and services.

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) is a flagship initiative of Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among the student and academic fraternity in the educational institutions in the State of Kerala. It is an umbrella program that play an instrumental role in fostering an innovation culture.
 
The IEDC of SGC is  established with requisite expertise and infrastructure. They work as the first launch pad for a student's entrepreneurial journey and provide them with access to cutting edge technology, world class infrastructure, high quality mentorship, early risk capital and global exposure.
 
The IEDC offer a variety of programs and services to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, including:
Innovation and Entrepreneurship training: variety of training programs on topics such as ideation, problem solving, business planning, and marketing.
Mentorship: mentorship to students and early-stage entrepreneurs from industry experts and successful entrepreneurs.
Incubation: incubation space to early-stage startups.
Funding: help students and early-stage entrepreneurs access funding from government schemes and private investors.
Networking: help students and early-stage entrepreneurs connect with other entrepreneurs, investors, and mentors.
