Our department embarked on the self-finance stream with the introduction of M.Com in October 2004. This marked a significant milestone in our journey to provide higher education in commerce. Building on this success, in August 2013, we launched B.Com Co-operation as the first undergraduate degree course in our department.
Continuing our commitment to offer diverse specializations, we expanded our degree course offerings in August 2014. This expansion included the introduction of B.Com Finance & Taxation and B.Com Office Management & Secretarial Practice, bringing the total number of degree courses to three.
Recognizing the evolving needs of the industry and the interests of our students, we further expanded our offerings in 2015. We obtained permission to introduce two additional degree courses: B.Com Marketing and B.Com Computer Application. With these additions, our department now offers a total of five specialized degree courses.
Our faculty is dedicated to providing quality education in commerce, catering to the diverse interests and career aspirations of our students. To ensure a comprehensive learning experience, we have adopted the semester system and follow the Choice-Based Credit and Semester System (CBCSS) for both B.Com and M.Com programs. This system allows students to explore various subjects, specialize in their chosen fields, and acquire in-depth knowledge and skills.
We believe in equipping our students with practical skills and industry-relevant knowledge. To achieve this, we have designed our curriculum to incorporate practical learning components, case studies, and industry-oriented projects. We also organize guest lectures, seminars, and workshops featuring experts from the field of commerce to provide valuable insights and foster a deeper understanding of real-world business scenarios.
Our faculty members are experienced professionals who bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the classroom. They are dedicated to nurturing the intellectual growth and professional development of our students, providing mentorship and guidance throughout their academic journey.
